🐝 LFSD at the San Diego County Scripps Regional Spelling Bee! 📚

Our very own LFSD middle schooler represented the school with remarkable skill and determination during the 54th annual San Diego County Scripps Regional Spelling Bee, which took place on March 14th at the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA in San Diego.

Amongst approximately 80 talented spellers, the competition was fierce. We are immensely proud of our student, and participating in such a prestigious regional competition was an unforgettable experience for him.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the family of our middle schooler and to Ms. Regan, our English teacher, for their unwavering support.

After 19 rounds, the championship word was “epihippus”. Congratulations to the winner from Twin Peaks Middle School in Poway, who claimed the title of the 2024 San Diego County Scripps Regional Spelling Bee Champion!
