Learning Support

Support for every learner

At LFSD, every student can receive support in French, English, language fluency and math, included in tuition. Support takes place during class time, individually or in small groups, so that each child, whatever their profile, can progress with confidence.

French

Extra support to strengthen reading, writing and speaking in French.

English

Extra support in English language arts, reading and writing.

Fluency

Programs for students who are new to French or English, to help them join their class quickly and confidently.

Math

Targeted help to consolidate number sense, methods and problem-solving.

Chaque enfant compteTeaching adapted to every child

We differentiate lessons, materials and assessments to meet the needs of all our students, including children with dyslexia and other learning differences (“dys”). We work hand in hand with families to find the right support for each child. When needed, we also work with outside specialists, such as one-on-one support in the classroom; these services are paid by families.

Elementary and middle school. The preschool schedule varies by class; greeting, dismissal and extended care are the same.

Hot Lunches

Healthy, French-inspired meals by Girard Gourmet, with vegetables from their organic garden in Julian, CA. Available 2, 3 or 5 days a week.
