Supporting Every Learner

LFSD follows a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS). Our own teachers adapt their teaching to every child, in French, English and math. Support takes place during the school day and is included in tuition.

Tier 1Every Classroom

Differentiated teaching for all students.

Tier 2Small Groups

Targeted help in French, English and math, plus fluency programs.

Tier 3One-on-One

Individual sessions for a child who needs focused help.

We also help children recognize and manage their emotions, with a calm corner, a referent teacher, Wellness Week and La Semaine du Bonheur.

Elementary and middle school. The preschool schedule varies by class; greeting, dismissal and extended care are the same.

Hot Lunches

Healthy, French-inspired meals by Girard Gourmet, with vegetables from their organic garden in Julian, CA. Available 2, 3 or 5 days a week.
