Le Lycée Français de San Diego held a ceremony this week to congratulate the LFSD Chess Team who won the finals of the French Elementary School Chess Championship in June 2023.

In a battle of wits and strategy, our brilliant young chess players showcased their dedication, skills, and passion for the game. This victory is a testament to their hard work, teamwork, and perseverance.

A heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to Chess Coach Frédéric for his invaluable guidance and support throughout this journey. We are immensely grateful for his dedication to nurturing our students’ chess talents.

We also extend our gratitude to Gladys, who acted as a dedicated chaperone for the students during their trip, and to the parents who traveled to France to provide unwavering support and enthusiasm for our team.

This win is a reflection of our school’s commitment to fostering excellence in academics and extracurricular activities. We are proud to provide an environment where students can thrive academically, intellectually, and personally.
