Supporting Every Learner
At LFSD, every child is seen, understood and supported. Our own teachers adapt their teaching to each student, work with small groups and give one-on-one help when needed, in French, in English and in math. Support is part of the school day and included in tuition.
A Multi-Tiered System of Support
LFSD follows a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS). Every student benefits from Tier 1. When a child needs more, support grows step by step, always in close partnership with the family.
One-on-One
Individual sessions with a teacher for a child who needs focused help.
Small Groups
Targeted work in French, English and math, plus fluency programs for students new to French or English, during class time.
Every Classroom
Differentiated teaching for all students: each child learns at the right level of support and challenge.
How Support Works at LFSD

When a student needs more targeted help, our Student Support Team of LFSD teachers works together with the classroom teacher to build a personalized plan.

We adapt lessons, materials and assessments so every child, including students with learning differences such as dyslexia, can access learning and build on their strengths.
